THE GOAL: 40 IN 40
After we got married in April of 2023, John came up with the idea for us to take 40 international trips within the first 40 years of our marriage.
We had already been on a few international trips before this plan was born, so they did not count.
We started by making a list of countries we want to visit, taking a guess at how many times we'd want to visit each (3 trips to Portugal? 5 trips to Italy?)
The rules are simple: each time we travel internationally {together}, it counts as one trip. Doesn't matter if we visit three different countries, it only counts as one trip. And we can visit the same destination as many times as we'd like. Each visit would count as one trip.
